Sites with Form Designer Template (FDT)
Release 3.55 includes extensive enhancements to the Form Designer Template. The highlights are listed below and full details on every update can be found in the expanded release notes on the Support portal, including help articles for these features.
Hide application fields and file uploads from reviewers. Yes, this much requested feature is now available! Simply check the “Hide from Reviewers” box on an application field to hide from reviewers in the platform and on the PDF.
More tooltips. The form builder in FDT is quite powerful and has many configuration options so we’ve added more tooltips. You’ll find quick explanations about fields when building forms and within the Settings panels to help you select the best configuration options.
Re-organized toolbox. Within the expanded view of the form designer, all the tools have been organized into new groups for ease of use.
- “Design Tools” add organization and clarity to forms for users.
- “Form Fields” are alphabetized to help find fields quickly.
- “Additional Requirements” has been renamed “InfoReady Tools”. Here you will find all the form features unique to InfoReady: Applicant-Driven Routing Steps, Co-Applicants, Primary Organization, etc.
New fields to add to the form, such as a Rating Scales, Star Ratings, a table of contents, and the option to add supporting documents anywhere.
More options to move sections and fields around the form, including the “First Name”, “Last Name”, and “Application Title” fields.
Duplicate entire sections instead of adding fields one by one.
The new Logic Tab can be enabled in create/edit mode to improve the visibility of the conditional logic in your form and to simplify how more conditional logic can be added. Ask customer support or your account manager to enable this feature.
And, as always, the product team slipped in a few bug fixes and security updates to keep the platform in tip-top shape.
Take the new features for spin and let us know what you think. If your institution is not currently using Form Designer Template, contact your account manager to learn how to get it.
