The New InfoReady Homepage & Federal Accessibility Guidelines
New federal web accessibility guidelines for public institutions take effect April 24, 2026, requiring state and local government websites and mobile apps to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. For over a year, InfoReady has dedicated part of every release to enhancing accessibility across the platform, helping our partners stay compliant. A key result of this work is the new InfoReady homepage experience, designed to better support these updated requirements.

New Tool Spotlight: Simplify Your Nominations Process
Running nomination-based programs often means tracking emails, chasing missing information, and cleaning up inconsistent submissions. The new InfoReady Nominations Tool helps administrators collect complete, structured nominations in one streamlined workflow without inbox overload. Designed for awards, honors, and recognition programs, the tool ensures accurate person data and reduces follow-up work for your team. The Nominations Tool can be added to your existing InfoReady license. See the flyer for more information and pricing.

Product News: In this Release
Retiring the General & Funding Templates
With the new year comes the time to move on to new things. Like moving existing competitions and opportunities from the General and Funding templates to the Form Designer template.
Form Designer is rich in features and functionality, so we want everyone to have access to all it offers. In fact, the product feedback we've received from admins over the years about the Funding and General templates was used to create Form Designer. With that in mind, we will be retiring the Funding and General templates at the end of June 2026.
Between now and July 1, 2026:
- We encourage you to only use the Form Designer to create new competitions and opportunities.
- Proactively, please begin migrating any competitions currently using the Funding or General templates to Form Designer, especially any you typically only use during the summer and fall semesters.
After July 1, attempting to create a new opportunity from one previously built on the General or Funding templates will automatically take admins through the upgrade process prior to launching. This includes draft opportunities, copying previously launched opportunities, and saved custom templates.
Have questions or need some guidance? Sign up for our webinar, Migrating to Form Designer, on Tuesday, 2/10 at 1pm ET. Sign up here.
Important: You will continue to be able to manage any previously launched opportunities built on the Funding or General template for the duration of those opportunities, including access to Progress Reports.
For complete information on the upgrade process, see Transferring Existing Opportunities to the Form Designer Template on the InfoReady Support Portal.
Accessibility
- We continue to make accessibility improvements across the platform. We are working diligently to ensure your InfoReady tenant meets the new requirements coming in April 2026.
- If you spot a specific accessibility issue at any time, please submit a ticket to the support team.
- We have updated the VPAT, which can always be found by clicking the “Accessibility” link in the lower right corner of your InfoReady site.
As always the full Release Notes are published on morning of release. Bookmark Release Notes on our Support Portal to read current and previous release notes.
